Bus patrol, Friday 4/1610

Friday April 16th 2010, we the San Francisco Guardian Angels will be doing a bus patrol on a Friday Night. This is a added patrol for this weekend to see what bad guys do on bus #14. This is going to tell us what it is like on a Friday night when everyone starts their partying on bus #14. This is going to explain how all the graffiti gets tagged on the bus #14. And this is going to show us how many people do sneak in the back door without paying on bus #14. Only hand picked angels has showed up at the HQ who is going to do this patrol tonight, we march to the bus stop, we post up to wait for the bus. Next we get on bus #14, we go to our post on the bus, to watch the doors and to observe the entire bus. Tonight of all nights we the angels had prevented drunks, freeloaders, taggers, and these young juveniles from
destroying the bus on this night.



But still it was costly, there were glass doors busted, there were glass windows busted, the bus was hit, the bus was kicked. As for this bus this does happen, but we knew everyone had to be safe, and we where going to make sure it was safe as possible on this bus.




Everyone on the bus where very glad to see the angels tonight, even the bus driver kept announcing the angels are on the bus. This was a bus patrol, a bus patrol that we needed to do as angels. This patrol will be scheduled in as we begin to change out
our patrols, but we my need to give up a Saturday or two if needed. We call it a night, but this was not a long night because we will be coming back again tomorrow for another patrol. We get back to the HQ, we do a small debrief, we change back into our street clothes, and we did came back SAFE! Great job angels.

Haight/Ashbury, bus patrols

Saturday March 6th 2010, we the San Francisco Guardian Angels will be patrolling the Height Ashbury Dist. and doing bus patrols today on two buses, (bus #71 & bus #38). All the angels and our guest from San Jose Chapter start arriving at the HQ around 12:00 noon, to change into uniforms and to do prebrief. Again this is a back to back patrol, it take focus and it takes patience because this is going to be a long patrol. There will be two teams, I J.D. will be team one and Scorpion will be team two, we will have two first aid techs and we will be using all radios for communication for this patrol. Now we are ready to head out into the streets, first we march to the bus stop on Market Street & 5th, next we get on bus #71.



We all know what to do on the bus, and that is looking for drinking on the bus, doing drugs on the bus, writing graffiti on the bus and not let any freeloaders come in the back door of the bus, the ride is All Clear. Now we are at Haight Ashbury Dist. We get off the bus, we march down the main street of the area, the area is All Clear. Next we march right into the Golden Gate Park, before we do we call the Park Rangers, (they give us the OK).



As we march around the area, we are greeted, we are thanked, but as we got to the back of the park there were some things scattered on the ground, along with needles a butchers knife, we cleaned up the area and marched on.







This area seems to be calm, cool, and collected, but not so fast, as we were starting to march out of the park, we come across a male that was so beat-up that this guy needed to go to the hospital. Right away we called 911, they arrived, they observe him, they walked him to there ambulance, put him in and left.





Next we march to the bus stop to get on bus #71 to do another bus patrol, we get on the bus going outbound all the way to the Pacific Ocean, the ride is All Clear. We get to our stop, we get into our teams, we now are ready for a long march to our other bus stop, but this area is the Pacific Ocean, there is no crime, there is no violence, there is no drug dealing, but there is the exercise that we need for this long march. Everyone did not know what to expect from this patrol, but it did have an impact on us, because it took endurance, and it showed how we can get into any environment and still stay focus on what we are doing.









We all got to our bus stop, both teams, we get on bus #38 going inbound, we look for all things that we look for on the bus, the ride is All Clear.



We get back into the city and to our stop, we get into our teams and we call it a night and march back to the HQ. We get to the HQ, we open up the office, now we do debrief, this is a good day, we all came back safe, we all came back alive, and we all had fun. This patrol had little mistakes, the leaders did a very good job, we do need to have different patrol leaders and this will come in upcoming patrols.

Mission district , bus patrol, 2/27/10

Saturday February 27th 2010, we the San Francisco Guardian Angels will be patrolling the Mission Dist. and will be doing a bus patrol tonight. This a back to back patrol, it takes a lot of patience and it takes a lot of focus, but we are ready. As everyone starts to arrive at the HQ we prepare for this patrol, we change into uniforms, we prebrief, and we welcome our new members. We will be one team of eleven, I J.D. will be patrol leader and Scorpion will be the tail of this team, we have one first aid tech, and we will be using all radios for communication. Next we call the Mission Police Dept. to advise them that we will be patrolling the area, they gave us the OK for that area, now we are ready to go into the Mission Dist.





The team all post up outside the HQ, we next march to the bus stop, we post up to wait for our bus, we get on bus #14 to head to our destination. We are now at our stop,16th street BART STATION as soon as we are out of the bus there is a fight, a fight between two females, I J.D. grabbed one female and my partner Apache had grabbed the other female to break them apart, all the other angels had posted up around the BART STATION to make sure no one else were going to jump in, and they all had stuck with their partner.

The women had calmed down, the area was full of people and they were all calming down, but we stayed posted up just in case. Next the police had arrived, someone had called them, I J.D. and my partner went to talk to the officer to explain what had happened. The officer wanted talked to both women, we went over to them, he had a few words with them and had both of them leave the area, the officer shook our hands, got back in his vehicle and left. Next we hit the alley-ways; Hunters Alley was not too bad, for the first time we did not pick up one dirty needle, this alley was All Clear.



As for Lovers Lane Alley we walked up on a female shooting dope but she stopped as soon as she seen us and stashed her stuff, we asked her to leave the area, she gathered her things and left.





We looked around where she was at but nothing was there, but she had dropped a needle as she was leaving the alley, this needle was fresh with her blood still in it.

Next we marched to Kid Power Park, we get there, we do a perimeter of the park, we find beer bottles, beer cans, we asked ourselves why would someone drink at a park for kids? (some people don't care), this area is now All Clear.





We march back to 16th street BART STATION, we post up for a while, it is All Clear. We next march up Mission St. we picked up one crack pipe, it was someones stash but other than that everything was calm. We then march to Alioto Park, it is All Clear, we next march back to Mission St. to get to Walgreen's for our water break, this is much needed. We then march to 24th street BART STATION, we post up for a while, it is All Clear, we next check out Travis Alley, this alley is All Clear.







Now we are ready for our bus patrol, everyone is still focused, we just have to make sure, that no one drinks on the bus, no one does drugs on the bus, no one puts any graffiti on the bus, and no one tries to come in the back door without paying, everything will be just fine. As we ride the bus outbound everything is calm, but the bus is full of people, we did what we could do for our presence, this is still good.



As we ride the bus inbound everything is calm, but we did notice a prostitute trying to pick up a customer, she notice the angels and she was not going to get the customer, she got off the bus. This bus is #14 it is one of the worst bus that you can ride in the city, and that is why the angels do more patrols on this bus. Next we decided to call it a night and head back to the HQ, we get off at our stop, we march to the HQ, we unlock the office.



Now we are ready for debrief, everyone does have something to say and everyone must say something to learn from this patrol, this helps us to do better, this helps us to learn from our mistakes, this also gives you the confidence to become stronger next time. Great patrol, everyone followed directions, everyone listened to the patrol leader, and everyone had watch their distance, Thank You Guys For Your Dedication!

1/16/10, handcuff training, bus patrols

Saturday January 16th 2010, we the San Francisco Guardian Angels will be having Handcuff Training and Bus Patrols today. This handcuff training will be passed on to the SFGA and the SJGA chapters by one of the Sheriff's Dept. finest. The training will consist of, (1) Type of handcuffs used, (2) Handcuff Procedures, (3) Arrest Procedures, (4) And Safety Procedures. We the SFGA are always grateful and thankful to receive training, this also helps the chapters and its members to do a better job as angels. Next is for everyone to show up on time, and everyone did, so this training went very good and the trainer did a very good job, we will be asking this trainer back again in the future.



Next we begin prebrief, then we all get ready for bus patrols, we will be on bus #14 for our tour, Lion will be the patrol leader, we have one first aid tech, and we will be using all radios for communication.







Lion takes the team out, we march to the bus stop, we get on bus #14, we split up, we post up on the bus. Lion makes the calls, he is the one who assigns the post you will be on the bus, we do not let anyone in the back doors of the bus unless they have a bus pass or a transfer.



For this reason they are breaking the law by coming in the back door, it is unsafe, and we also think this is why the bus fares keep going up in price. But as we move along on the ride, our tour is not to bad tour, there is no one drinking, there is no one doing drugs, there is no one doing any graffiti, everything seems to be All Clear.



As for the ride we got to know the bus driver, we got to know the passengers, but we as angels still stay focus on this tour. We did ride this bus out-bound and it is a long tour, when we had reach the end of the bus route the bus driver stopped for his break so we got off to take our break. Next we got back on the bus #14, got back to the post we where at on the bus, and now we are ready to return to the city.



As for the ride going back it was basically the same, but we where all still focused on this tour, and there were still no bad guys so Lion's decision was to call a day and head back to the HQ. As Guardian Angels we all know that it takes heart and soul and dedication to do what we do, and if there is nothing that happens then the reason is because we where out there doing something about it or prevented it from happening.




As we reached our stop, we got off of the bus and post up on the wall, we did thank the bus driver as we always do. Next Lion marches the team to the HQ. we are home as some of us sees it, but it is HQ, we change back into our street clothes but before that we want to take some photos of our new patches we have, they are called Fallen Angel Patches, we are very proud to waer these patches with HONOR of our angels that had died for our cause.
